I am an innovation scholar who thinks like a political economist and acts like an activist.

A little bit about me

My starting point is always those with most at stake and least power over the outcome.

My work sits at the uncomfortable intersection of economic development, sustainability, and geopolitics.

Rigorous enough for journals, useful enough for governments, clear enough for everyone else.

My research is shaped by the belief that understanding change requires being close to it.

Interdisciplinary by training, transdisciplinary by conviction, I move between academic research, policy advice, public debate, and creative work.

Tango is my other language.
